4th Annual Zimele Dinner
On Saturday, August 25th, Brothers Daniel Lyimo and Francis Nkwabi (Headmaster, Edmund Rice Sinon Secondary School, Arusha, Tanzania) were guests of honour at the 4th Annual Zimele Dinner, attended by close to 500 people at St Kevin’s College, Toorak, in support of STAR Support Group, which assists more than 1300 people living with HIV/AIDs and their families in the Yambio region of South Sudan. Both Daniel and Francis have worked in the STAR program. A highlight of the evening was an interview of Daniel and Francis by Br Bill Wilding (Board Chair, Edmund Rice Foundation). Bill invited them to reflect on their time in Yambio, the situation in South Sudan and the outreach of the STAR program. They emphasised the importance of building relationships and providing opportunities that enable people to bring about real change in their lives. Daniel and Francis thanked Zimele members for their ongoing support of education and health projects in Africa. To learn more about Zimele – click HERE.
