STAR Support Group is one of very few providers of services for people in Yambio area living with HIV/AIDS, a huge problem in the aftermath of the civil war in Southern Sudan. The service provides home based care, practical support and counselling for more than 1300 sufferers and families. Community education programs are also provided to reduce infection rates and to improve nutrition and care.
