The Foundation is very grateful to St Virgil’s College, Hobart and Parade College, Bundoora for their very generous support for Edmund Rice projects and programs in East Africa and in particular for their support of the Mary Rice Day Care Centre, which assists children with physical and intellectual disabilities in the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya. Recently, both colleges presented to the Foundation the proceeds from their fundraising – St Virgil’s Half Way Day and Parade’s Edmund Rice Solidarity Fortnight.
